This week we have been talking about marriage. I am not married yet, so I am paying attention as closely as I can so I can be a little bit more prepared for the future. I am starting to realize how difficult marriage CAN be. Something as simple as sleeping in the same bed with someone can prove to be a difficult challenge that must be overcome. There are bigger challenging too such as: Agreeing on how to discipline your children. These things definitely don't have to come between couples, but they often do. Marriage takes a lot of open mindedness. It is a big change in lots of ways I never realized.

In my class we have been learning about where certain social habits/problems come from. Specifically same-sex attraction and as I have been learning more about it I have felt more apathetic towards those who struggle with it. It would do everyone, those observing and those living with same-sex attractions, a lot of good to learn more about why people have those feelings. Those with such attractions need to be accepted, it doesn't matter if you support homosexuality or not, you can accept someone without supporting their choices.
